It’s hard to believe it’s that time of year again, but our Black Friday sale is just around the corner, and holiday shopping is fully underway. As is custom, we’ve once again put together our annual list of hockey-themed holiday gifts that we’d like to receive ourselves, so you can shop with confidence knowing these items have the HbyD stamp of approval.

(Ed Note: This is *not* paid content! None of the businesses listed below have paid us to be included on this list. These are all items we honestly think you would love because we love (or have loved) them ourselves. Enjoy!)

The Hockey By Design Market

Ok, ok, you’re probably thinking self promotion, AGAIN!? But we genuinely love (and use!) the products we’ve created for the HbyD Market, so we hope you and your loved ones will too. We have products for all 32 teams (including Seattle!) ranging from apparel to home decor, and stocking stuffers like stickers and bottle openers.

Available on the Hockey By Design Market (prices vary)

Greatest Plays Coasters

Rest your game day drink on top a diagram of an iconic play from your favorite team’s history. Available in both slate and leather styles, these coasters add a perfect yet subtle nod to your love of hockey for even the most stylish of coffee tables.

Available from Playbook Products ($30-$40)

Hockey Legends Alphabet Book

Shopping for a little fan this holiday season? Alphabet Legends’ hockey book will teach your super fan in training the ABCs of the sport’s greatest names, from Alexander Ovechkin to Wayne Gretzky. This book also has wonderfully playful illustrations that both adults and children will love.

Available from Alphabet Legends ($29.95)

Backstop Hockey

For fans of vintage goalie gear (like us), Backstop Hockey has a number of awesome and creative products for the holiday season. Our favorites include their throw blankets, both in vintage pads and “Crease-mas” patterns, and the vintage pad stocking.

Available from Backstop Hockey (prices vary)

Cheevers Socks

If you’ve read our holiday gift guides before, you know we love Violent Gentlemen’s designer-friendly hockey gear, but one of their newest releases will warm both your feet and your goalie mask nerd heart. Their Cheevers socks, promised to be “the softest socks you’ll ever wear,” sport an all-over stitches design that do the king of mask art proud.

Available from Violent Gentlemen ($14)

Top Shelf Cookies

Founded by Bruins super fan Heather Yunger, Top Shelf Cookies started as a superstition, when in 2011, she came up with the Black & Golds as good luck charms for every home game. Now we all know how the 2011 season ended for the Bruins, so there must be some magic in these aptly named baked goods.

Top Shelf ships curated cookie gift boxes and even offers cookie subscriptions, for those who love their cookies as much as they love hockey.

Available from Top Shelf Cookies (gift boxes start at $35)

State Wooden Wall Decor

Steve of LakesWallDecor grew up in a woodworking family, and it certainly shows in his craft. With a 5-star rating on Etsy, Steve’s creations include these unique state-shaped wall hangings made from a mixture of reclaimed wood and recycled hockey sticks. Each piece is custom made with the team colors painted on various strips of wood and an inset puck.

Available from LakesWallDecor on Etsy (from $69.99)

Game Used Stick Beer Flight

The Venn diagram of hockey and beer lovers has quite a large intersection, and these unique flight holders made from game used stick blades satisfy both passions perfectly. Each kit includes three glasses and is made to order by hand, so you might need to leave a little extra time for delivery, but we’re confident it’ll be worth the wait.

Available from Tokens & Icons ($265)

Gritty Holiday Cards

Gritty has transcended just Philly fandom and become a cultural icon, and that includes being an icon of all holidays. Kimmy Scafuro is a Philadelphia-based artist whose Etsy shop features these incredible Gritty holiday cards, both for Christmas and Hanukkah. Just keep those cheese steaks close so you don’t get a surprise visit from the Gritty of Christmas past.

Available from KimmyMakesThings on Etsy ($5 each)

The Sport Gallery Hockey Prints

Toronto’s The Sport Gallery (with attached Arena Coffee Bar) is a dream for sports fans, boasting an impressive collection of apparel, memorabilia and art, plus coffee –– what’s not to love? For those looking for some unique vintage hockey decor, The Sport Gallery has a massive selection of both illustrated and photographic prints deep from the archives that any fan and art lover would appreciate.

Available from The Sport Gallery (from $55 CAD)

Black Girl Hockey Club Merch

We’re big supporters of the work Black Girl Hockey Club is doing to better the culture of the sport, and their merch, designed by Jordan Dabney, is equally as stellar. From t-shirts and hoodies to pins and stickers, you can show your support for BGHC’s mission to make the game of hockey a more inclusive, equitable and accessible place.

Available on Threadless (prices vary)
